LULA Elevator

LULA (Limited Use Limited Application) elevator is a bridge between a standard passenger elevator & an accessibility/ barrier free lift. It is detailed in section 5.2 of CSA B44/ ASME 17.1 as “a power passenger elevator, which following restrictions/ features”.

Advantages of LULA elevators: features mentioned below makes LULA Elevator a value solution for projects requiring barrier free access with provision of automatic control and automatic door operation.

  • Requires less shaft and machine room space as compared to a passenger elevator
  • LULA requires less pit depth and less overhead clearances than a conventional passenger elevator
  • Automatic door operation like passenger elevators
  • Non key, unrestricted access like passenger elevator
  • Ideal for retrofit applications (in schools, churches, medical offices etc.) due to easy civil construction.
  • 1:2 Roped, environmentally friendly, Non-buried hydraulic design
