PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE: Periodic Preventive Maintenance is Better than Later Corrective Repair

Any machine including Elevators for that matter requires periodic maintenance. If a Preventive Maintenance Program is in place and conducted regularly then it can prevent unexpected shut downs thus saving valuable time and money in doing corrective maintenance down the road.

In line with the elevator code and as implemented by the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) every elevator manufacture provides MCP (Maintenance Control Program), listing periodic maintenance activities for the elevator. As required by the Elevator Code, after the successful installation and before handing over of the elevator to the end user, the elevator needs to be maintained as per the MCP by a registered elevator contractor. The frequency of the PMI (Preventive Maintenance Inspection) could be every month or it can be once every 3 or 6 months, depending upon the type of elevating device, amount of usage or any other specific stipulated requirement.

Typically, Express Elevators conducts PMI (Preventive Maintenance Inspection) only on the elevating devices we install. All type of Maintenance, Repair & Call Back work is carried out 5 days a week during regular working hours. Please Contact Us for any maintenance related query and we would happy to assist you.
