DIRECTLY COUPLED HYDRAULIC CYLINDER DESIGN:
Hydraulic elevators use proven hydraulic lifting technology in low to mid-rise buildings
(up to 6 floors) to provide a robust and reliable elevator. They are simple in design
& cost-effective to install & maintain. A well-maintained hydraulic elevator
lasts longer than 20 years before any major modernization requirement. They are
extensively used in Malls, Plazas, Apartments, Parking Garages, Hospitals, Schools,
Religious places, other ICI buildings etc. This is a hole-less design and
therefore there is no risk of oil contamination in the ground as well as no additional
cost of drilling the hole. However, pit & overhead requirements in this design are
more than roped design.
1. Dual Cylinder type:
This design is with two hydraulic cylinders to lift the elevator cab and provides very
high structural stability. Cylinders are either single-stage or telescopic. The
appropriate type is determined by the travel, available bottom pit and headroom
dimensions in the hoistway shaft and other conditions. The single-stage cylinders are
typically used in two-stops requirements & telescopic cylinders are used for three
and more stops requirements.

2 Single Cantilevered Cylinder type:
This design is useful for adding an elevator in a 3 to 6 stories existing building with
limited foot print space for the hoistway shaft, where a LULA (Limited Use Limited
Application) Elevator can’t provide the required Cab Size or Duty Load (Capacity
& Speed). A Single Cantilevered Cylinder Passenger Elevator deign requires
customization and the load carrying capacity is limited to 909 Kg (2,000 lb). After
carefully considering various parameters like required elevator Cab Size, Speed, Total
Travel, Number of Floors, Available Pit depth, Overhead height, Hoistway Shaft size
& Construction Type etc. it can be determined if a single cylinder design would be
suitable or not.
Based on above this design is suitable for:

Standard Product Features with Available Options are:
Due to various end users’ functional requirements, site constraints including fire
separation requirement between the floors, structural and other building code
requirement every elevator proposal is a unique configuration carefully prepared by
selecting from the above mentioned product features (and available options). This is to
ensure that the selected product configuration suits overall project requirements.
Therefore, in order to get a comprehensive design proposal, ensuring that all the
requirement have been identified and incorporated in the design at the planning stage,
