Vertical Platform Lift

Download Brochure

Vertical Platform Lifts (VPL) are used for barrier free accessibility, for transportation of a person in a wheelchair with/without an attendant. These lifts are manufactured as per the elevator code CSA-B355 and are provided for both indoor as well as outdoor applications. Machine for a VPL is typically a hydraulic design powered by a hydraulic pump & cylinder assembly or are also offered as screw driven machines. As determined by AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction), a VPL can be installed in an un-enclosed hoist shaft for travel up to 2438 mm (8’ – 0”) and up to 7010 mm (23’ – 0”) in an enclosed hoistway shaft.

Advantages of a VPL (Vertical Platform Lifts):

  • Reliable and cost saving alternative to a Passenger Elevator/LULA Elevator
  • Design solutions available for limited overhead and/ or pit depth
  • Environmentally friendly non-buried hydraulic cylinder drive system
  • Easy to install and maintain the device with minimal running expense
