Inclined Platform Lifts (IPL) allows for barrier free, up and down transportation, for a
person in wheelchair on a flight of straight stairs. A rail system is mounted alongside
the stairs to guide the movement of the inclined moving platform. These lifts are
manufactured as per CSA-B355. This lift is well suited to environments where an elevator
or vertical lift cannot be easily accommodated, due to limited space and hence this
accessibility lift travels on the top of the flight of stairs.
